We welcome Ceo and One of the SBM entertainment frontline Artist's Kenzyyoung all the way from the South Eastern part of Nigeria on today segment to let us in on his life and music career.
We will be asking you some interesting questions Sir and we do hope and wish to learn some great ideas from your life experiences as an Artiste.Once again thank you for coming.
Firstly i would like you to introduce yourself.
Introduction and Early child background.
My name is Ogochukwu Ojukwu Theodore known by many has Kenzyyoung born to a Nigerian father and a Trinidadian mother.
I am from Nnobi idemili South Local Government area of Anambra state.
What were your childhood hobbies?
My childhood hobbies as a kid has always been smooth but i wont say its been a bed of roses we all have our up's and down's in life.
What are your hobbies:
I love playing games, meeting new people and lastly i love doing music.
How did your career start as an artiste/musician?
#Laughs# well i always wanted to be a lawyer or be some other profession but as the years went on i was able to develop this desire to write novels and from there i turned it into song-writing i became very good in it, as a kid i have always loved music starting from the classics to the modern day sound we hear.
I kicked off my music career at the age of 15 and ever since then have been on the road to becoming one of the worlds greatest someday.
When and why did you start playing?
I started playing at the age of 13, cause i loved music in general i loved the sounds people where able to make and generate through instruments
Do you attend sessions? What makes a good session?
Yes i do, a good session comes from the understanding you have with the producer and the environment once that is accomplished you have nothing to worry about
Where you influenced by old records and tapes? Which ones?
Yea alot like dolly parton, Prince, lionel Richie and steven wonder.

My first instrument was a drum i was always eager to learn and make up my own sound and beat from a drum, being able to define the kind of sound i want through my experiences in life.
Yea i also love to play the piano.
What was the first tune(s) you learned?
Uhm... The first tune i heard was actually the calypso when i and my parents would just sit down and listen to instrumentals from the early 90's.
Is your family musical?
No my family is not musical.
Describe your family members musical interests and abilities.
Well my mom is a great Fan of celine dieon being a foreigner she's not to involved with the Nigerian sound yet, my dad not so much a music fan tho #lol#.
Who are your Favorite musicians, groups, CD's
I have no favourite musical group for now your first performance like?
What was your first performance on stage like?
#Lol# alright i must say i was really nervous, uhmm... I kept thinking of how the crowd will respond to my music and myself has a person but i guess it was fun and it would be something i wont be in a hurry to forget.
How do you handle mistakes during performance?
I go back i sit down i think and i pray to God for a better performance.
Do you get nervous before performance or competition?
Of course i do, besides once in a while every artiste/musician does have moment when they just freeze up but at a point you get used to it.
What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?
Ill say take a deep breath, dont look at too many faces remember your the best at what you do and never give up.
How often and for how long do you practice?
I practice every day and Night none stop even when am in the bath room, or am cooking or am eating even when am driving i practices to be a better person than i was yesterday.
What do you practice? Exercises, new tunes, hard tunes, e.t.c?
I practice hard tunes, so ill be able to switch up what i do in the studio.
Have you had any encounter with a celebrity you have always imagined meeting?
Lol of course just one person actually the Nigerian born International Artiste Jidenna, that is the biggest moment for me and my career as an upcoming artiste but as time goes on i hope to actually get to work with other artiste in the music industry.
Can you give us names of artiste you would probably like to work with and why?
Well.. There are so many gifted and talented artiste out there but on my list ill say Don Jazzy cause he makes great beats and with Don jazzy on your song your definitely sure its going to be a HIT!!, tiwa savage cause she has an incredible voice, then 2baba cause he brings out the best in every artiste to do better.
Have you been in a competition? Fleadh's? Any prizes
Apart from the school prizes i might have won, i doubt i have any other trophies for now.
Which famous Musicians do you admire?
Uhm... Alot actually the likes of wizkid, vector, Falz, yemi alade, the list goes on.
Who was your first teacher? Other teachers?
Lol.. Uhm... Have had alot of teachers in my life even before i was born i already had a teacher warning me to be a good person so i guess yea alot of teachers
Do you teach music?
No i don't.
How do you balance your music with other obligations, classmates, family, job....?
Whose your mentor or who do you look upto in the industry?
Actually i have a few people i look up-to, people like 2baba and Falzthebadguy to name a few here in Nigeria then i guess on the international platform Big Sean, Jidenna etc
What are your fondest Musical memories?
Omg.. The first day i performed was hillarious i felt so nervous like i was gonna pee in my pants.
Do you perform in public? Describe those Occasions? Concerts.
Uhm... They where fun i enjoyed them hearing the good remarks from the audience and fans around they have really been able to give me the power to get back into the studio and work harder.
Who are the two people that has really influenced your music greatly?
My mom and my manager and if am to add a great number of people who have stood by me.
As an artiste what would make you feel that you have reached the peek of your career?
Ok i guess some day if am able to bring home a grammy or BET award, apart from that am just focused on making good music for my supporters and those that look upto to me in our generation.

What are the challenges you have faced as an upcoming artiste in your career?
I have faced soo many challanges and many are yet to come all i do is pray for a better day over and over.

Does kenzyyoung have someone his crushing on as a celebrity or not?
Hahahaha mehn!! all i can say is shout out to all the beautiful Ladies who keep it real wether celebrity or not.
In about 5 to 10years where do you see yourself?
All i can say is i pray that God gives us life to see another day.
We know your an artiste and you have alot of songs that have really being buzzing how do we download it
All my songs are on Google all you do is go and type in kenzyyoung and my songs would appear, its that easy.
